Are you currently using any AHAs, Retinols, Renova, or Retin-A? Any of these need to be discontinued 1 week prior to your appointment.
Are you currently on Accutane? This needs to be discontinued 6 months prior to the appointment. While being on Accutane, your skin is extremely sensitive.
Have you had any electrolysis or waxing within the last week? If so, we will need to schedule your appointment one week following any of these services.
Are you prone to cold sores? If so, you may want to be aware that a chemical peel can and most likely will trigger an outbreak. Please be prepared with a prescription given by your doctor.
Are you currently suntanning your face or an active sun exposer? If so, please refrain from UV exposure of any type while undergoing a chemical peel regimen. Your skin will be much more sensitive to the peel, so we recommend avoiding ALL UV exposure 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
